ABC NEWS PROVEs CONNOISSEUR PREFER TAP IN TASTE TESTS!

It’s everything we’ve been saying and then some. “20/20″ took five bottles of national brands of bottled water and a sample of tap water from a drinking fountain in the middle of New York City and sent them to microbiologist Aaron Margolin of the University of New Hampshire… you’ll never guess what they turned up.

Tap water comes in second… to other tap water.

Bottled water comes in third. What does it all mean?

Filling from a water fountain in Central Park is truly inspired. You should do something like that. Make a video. I wish ABC had put theirs online.

    Does anything rhyme with Stossel?

It’s like the watermelon of last names.

How come I still feel guilty on a date when they ask my if I’d like bottled or sparkling? I hate that.

20/20’s getting better, I like that show.

My new favorite thing to do when looking for an apartment (which, by the way, is my least favorite thing to do): Checking the tap water. I want flow, clarity, and coolness. I also want closets, but I can get those at Ikea if need be.

I kinda hate reading. Couldn’t you get the video?

I went to Margolin. This was posted on our Facebook group, any idea why? Is it cause of the lab or am I missing something?

That’s great. It always creeps me out when friends ask for a specific brand of water by name. They can’t taste the difference contrary to what they think. And with that, I’m off to forward this around. Thanks.

We tried something like this at my school once, but it was for a hidden camera show I was working on for my Mass Com class. I think we might’ve missed the bigger picture.

Jake, are you still writing this? I like it. Quick. Snappy. Informative. By the way, I saw the water at my bodega the other day. I’m not a bottle buyer, otherwise I’d have grabbed some, but I’m glad to see you’re doing well!

I’m pretty sure Voss water is just tap water from the city of Voss.

It’s all the same - starting from the same place, going to the same place - I’m just tired of being lied to.

I think I saw something similar on Sunday Morning with Charles C. You should look into it. There’s probably also a video on YouTube if you’re willing to poke around some.
